Fourth of July Events in LaFayette, CA

Celebrating the Fourth of July in LaFayette, California offers some traditional, and not so traditional ways to spend the holiday.

The LaFayette Chamber has big plans on July 4th from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. From 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. there will be food concessions, a beer and wine garden, face painting, balloon sculpting, a pie eating contest, and kid’s activities. From 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., there will be a free concert with Chris Daniels and the Kings. A free shuttle will be available from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Other events in the area are a parade that begins at 10 a.m. in nearby Orinda. This parade began early in the 1980’s. It started when they wanted to celebrate Independence Day but also wanted a celebration for the community. The day begins with a pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and afterwards, you can attend other events throughout the day.
